Wish You Were Here: The Story of New Zealand Postcards

Wish You Were Here sets out for the very first time, the development of the picture postcard industry in New Zealand. It reveals the fact that New Zealanders were prolific users of postcards during the early decades of the 20th century when collecting postcards became a worldwide phenomenon.

William Main, a life long collector, was educated in Wellington and at Canterbury University where he completed a Fine Arts Degree. Now retired in Khandallah, he desk-top publishes The Postcard Pillar for the New Zealand Postcard Society Inc., and the G&T Gazette.

Alan Jackson has collected and written about picture postcards for many years and published two monographs on postcards. He is a co-ordinator of a worldwide collectors' forum (based in the UK) devoted to the paraphilately of WWI.
